Finally! The most horrific battle of Middle Earth has ended, and New Line and Peter Jackson have made peace. The spoils of war? Executive Producer credit on The Hobbit and its sequel. For some time there was a question whether Jackson would be associated with another Tolkien based, or any other film developed or distributed by New Line Cinemas after a dispute over profit sharing, from the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Though terms have not been released, it appears that all parties involved are playing nice again. The Hobbit has a tentative release of 2010, with the sequel holding a 2011 date. Hallelujah!
