With holiday shopping in full swing, I was reminded of the all too famous holiday sales. Have you ever shown up early to get something, only to find out that the same item goes on sale a week later? That angers me. What most people don’t know is that some retailers have a price protection policy for their customers. I don’t know about you, but I simply don’t have time in my busy life to track which stores have what deals when. I barely can remember where I put my receipts. Now it is easier than ever to keep track of some of your purchases.

If you are a user of the Firefox browser (if not, why not? get it here), and you make frequent purchases from Amazon.com you can install the PriceDrop plug-in (also in links section) to track price drops that occur within 30 days of your purchase.

Another cool site known as Price Protectr can help you track purchases from numerous retailers (68 as of this posting), including Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City, and more. Simply copy the url of your online purchase, provide your email and voila.

Happy Holiday Hunting!
