According to the Zap2It website, Stargate Atlantis star Jason Momoa has been selected to play Conan in the reboot. I do not know about you, but I think he is entirely…umm not Arnold. Let us know what you think with the poll (sidebar, far right).

Production is slated for a March 15 start date, and release is scheduled for sometime in 2011.

Credit Union to Pay $4 Million Dividend to its members

For the second year in a row, Wright-Patt Credit Union will pay its members what they call a patronage dividend. The Fairborn, OH based credit union announced this week that it will pay $4 million dollars to its members which tops the dividend they paid their members last year. Compared to large banks that only care about profit, this shows that the institutions that are more focused on people are going to win the customer service battle. I am looking forward to it, because I am a member.

I Witnessed American Idol T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Say it isn’t so. During the March 18, 2009 results show, the top 11 performed “T-R-O-U-B-L-E”, and it has truly spelled trouble. Surely my eyes and ears were deceiving me, but alas I have watched it again, and it sure appears that they are lip syncing the song. The audio was too clean, loud, perfect, and fast for some of the singers. There are at least three people that are not even “singing” the right words. What has become of the show?

Well, it is not often…actually never in recorded history have we been able to claim that Ohio was hit by a category one hurricane. The remnants of hurricane Ike tore through Ohio like Freddy Krueger and a blonde in her sleep. It only took nine days for the local utility to return power. Actually, an out of state crew was responsible for restoring power to this location, and to them I say thank you, Elliot. However, the local company shall remain nameless. They are giving themselves enough bad press, and do not need my help to continue down that road. I shall now go lay underneath my ceiling fan as it recently moved to the top of my “Things I Like to Blow on Me” list.

“Weird Al” Challenged by Fan

Ok. So I think we can all say that “Weird Al” is truly the king of parody. Now I have written and produced a few gems back in my early days of broadcast radio, but he is truly genius. However, the king has been challenged by a fan of his, known as James At War (see challenge here). Will Al accept the challenge? I would love to see this happen. Hell, MY idea would be to have an “Idol” like contest where contestants compete for a chance to go up against the king. Spread the word to “Accept The Challenge”. VH1 really needs to get a hold of this.
